『Conditions of the gas giant』（"巨大ガス惑星の状態"の意）は、1987年に６０分カセットで米国Birdo'Prayレコーズよりリリースされました。本作には、A面「(北半球) アルデバラン７における水蒸気の様々な状態」、B面「(南半球) 巨大ガス惑星の興味深い対流の流れ」共に、数分の短いトラックが計12曲収録されています。なお、B面の７曲のうち１～６曲目は、CD『Congratulacion』に、ボーナス・トラック１７～２２として収録されています。また、その他の収録曲も、『Congratulacion』と同じ作風のものですが、本作品の方がよりリズミックで、Conさん独特のリズムセンスを堪能できます。なお、カバーアートはマット・ハワースによるものです。

カセット10本組の『BLACK BOX 1987』に含まれる『CON 87/4』のB面には、『Conditions of the gas giant』の全トラックが収録されています。

CD-R『87/F』の"28.5.87"には『Conditions of the gas giant』の全トラックが収録されています。（『87/F』のトラック８～１２は、『Conditions of the gas giant』のA面、『87/F』のトラック１～７は、『Conditions of the gas giant』のB面。）
